BCN - Forecast of sun with amazing company and great music

After a long day at work I was totally stoked to rush home, take my bag and make my way to the airport for a long weekend in Barcelona.
Joerg had already flown out in the morning and was already at his dear friends Pablo & Susanna’s house. Pablo and Joerg are soul maids and not only their passion for music (both making and Pablo even producing electronic music – amongst others on his label Avantroots) connects them, but also their spirit and attitude towards life. Same with Pablo’s girlfriend Susanna who is the sweetest person on earth.
So here I am really happy to be part of this wonderful group and on my way to appreciate the Barcelona way of life. Joerg and I are both total addicts of the city and simply can’t get enough.

This weekend the Sónar music festival is taking place. It is an annual multi-day, multi-location festival that brings party-heads the latest in new wave Electronica, Advanced Music and Dance. It was born in 1994 as “The Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art”, bringing together some of the top names in the leftfield European Dance scene for a three day event. Since then it has grown from strength to strength, offering attendees a different branch of Dance than the one that’s eternally banged on the Balearic drum. This year we have been told approx. 150k people will be in the city to enjoy music. I am really excited. Joerg and Pablo are going to spin together (Pablo Bolivar & Sensual Physics) in Galaktika's Sonar week showcase on Saturday night and it is the first time that they will perform together live. I simply can’t wait.

My flight is delayed and I can’t sit still, but I know I will be there soon.
