Husky Fock
Care for a vitamin shock? We simply love a fresh and healthy start in the morning and since we are back from Barcelona (Pablo did a great job and got us hooked) we are experimenting with all sorts of fruits and fresh ingredients and have had some really energetic kick-starts into the day. Never underestimate – how you think about something is actually how you feel – so let’s just say we feel fruity.
The real juice master is Joerg because I awake the earliest whenever the vitamins hit my system, before that I am really slow. (This is just a nice paraphrase of me admitting – in the morning I am a “lazy-not-so-early-in-the-morning-person”. This is mostly limited to during the week and might temporarily be connected with work, we are still evaluating the correlation.)
However we seriously recommend fresh juices in the morning, totally yummi. You don’t need any fancy equipment or juice maker, the only thing you need is:
-Knife
-Cutting board
-A deep bowl for mixing
-A hand blender (we call it the “magic stick”)
-All sorts of fresh fruits
-Ice cubes and/or frozen berries if you like
And this is our favourite juice, simply named it after its master...
The Husky Fock
-Watermelon (a quarter of a melon)
-Peaches (1-2)
-Strawberries (4-5)
-Fresh mint (4-5 leaves)
Cut everything into bite-sized pieces (and get rid of the pit and peelings (melon)/you can leave the peach peelings on) and slowly blend it in the mixing bowl, adding one ingredient after the other. In case you would like your juice a little more liquid, add some ice cubes or a little bit of water. You can modify your juice depending on the intensity you desire – more strawberries, more peaches – there is no rule in making juices, just fun!
After you mix it you might want to put the juice into the fridge for a couple of minutes to cool down the warmth from mixing.
Sit down, smile, take a sip and love life! Cheers!
